This light, ghostly murder mystery is filled with humor and quirky characters with large personalities. Thank you so much, Tony and Great Escapes for the mention. I am looking forward to reading more of Emma and the Ghostly Southern Mystery series. Emma sees murdered dead people, after being conked on the head by a plastic Santa. Her home and the family business are one and the same, Eternal Slumber Funeral Home. I loved the TV show, so any book that reminds me of it, is high on my reading list.

Now Emma Lee will have to work extra closely with her hunky lawman to get to the twisty truth. Too bad, it should have been a fun, light read and I was looking forward to reading more in the series, but that's not going to happen. This is a super cute fast mystery read. I really enjoyed the character olivia she was pretty funny in her break up service. Wonder how she would do as a Job Termination. I bet she would be a hoot.
Aug 06, Melissa Ramirez rated it it was amazing. A girl who reads auras and gets herself in a heap of trouble breaking people up for a living. This is a clever and original concept for a cozy mystery. Mar 09, Kelly rated it liked it. Not as good as I hoped it would be, but not a bad as it could have been.
Hard to empathise with a main character you just want to punch in the face due to her sheer stupidity. Mar 06, Bookish Indulgenges with b00k r3vi3ws rated it it was ok Shelves: Olivia Davis is no normal girl. She sees auras of people that prove to be too distracting for her to hold down a permanent job. She is also neatness impaired and has zero love-life. She starts a business herself - Splitsville.
The online business turns out to be successful minus a few threats. Her life turns around when she meet Bradley. Olivia, who runs he Olivia Davis is no normal girl. It seems like she is being framed for the murders and worse yet she might be a target herself. In order to keep herself from being exposed and her business undercover, Olivia decides to investigate the case herself.
There are a lot of characters in the book. Some of them are totally not needed and with the rest, Ms. Tonya has done a great job. Olivia, the protagonist and a few of the other main characters have been developed well through the book. As for the plot, I am not sure whether adding the paranormal touch was necessary. The book had the potential of being a great piece if not for a lot of typos and grammatical mistakes — they are so distracting!
Also, it lacked consistency with regards to information. The only highlight of this book is Olivia and her sense of humour! Oct 01, Donna Hatridge rated it really liked it. This book was a light easy read that was fun. I totally enjoyed this book. I will be looking for more of Tonya Kappes books. Or what she This book was a light easy read that was fun.

The writing was a little choppy in places and there were errors in continuity, basically things that should have been picked up in editing. But, I ignored them, well maybe made a few comments to my husband about them, then finished reading the book. The concept is a good one and I would more than likely pick up the next book in this series - if it is even a series.
Jul 18, Mila Ballentine rated it it was amazing. COM had my attention from beginning to end. The book is worthy of a sitcom series or a movie. Aug 09, Teri Lenz rated it it was amazing. This book has everything!

Olivia has a "gift," and we learn a lot about the characters from her. As I read it, I enjoyed the touch of romance, the soothing aunt, the awkward best friend and the steps to which Olivia would go to try and save both her company and her life. Aug 17, Saralyn rated it it was amazing. Another fast, fun read by Tonya Kappes! When reading her books I'm always sad when I have to put my kindle down to attend to my daily routines.
I love a book that I'm anxious to pick back up and Splitsville. I will definitely be anxiously awaiting the next book! Sep 22, Terry rated it liked it. Had problems with format on my Nook, but tricked my way thur. Not for people that get annoyed at typos, sentence errors, or sometimes redundant phrasing. But was fun and easy.

I have no idea which character I found more annoying. I hope this was the beginning for her because the last series I at least enjoyed.. Good This is one of Ms. Kappes' better series, and her one of her best paranormal series, along with her Southern Ghostly Mysteries. Her discomfort with "witches" shows in her other two paranormals.
- Yesterday Once More!
- Anxiety Street: GAD Self Help Techniques.;
- Tonya Kappes?
Olivia Davis is a bouncy attractive rather "normal" paranormal, which is apparently Ms. Kappes' comfort zone, because this series flows along without any barriers, and Olivia uses her aura abilities in a natural way. The mystery is quite intricate; it's difficult to guess the killer even though the Good This is one of Ms. The mystery is quite intricate; it's difficult to guess the killer even though the clues are there right in front of you.
That's the kind of mystery I like--where it's hard to figure it out and the paranormal abilities seem natural and normal, not contrived or like a fairytale. Good work on this one, Ms.
